James Hendrickson

Co-CEO

Having over 20 years of management experience in the software industry, Jim Hendrickson took the helm of Onco, Inc. in late 2007. Prior to his work as Onco’s CEO, he was the Technical Director and Database Architect for a little over a decade. In this role, he helped make the transition from the DOS version of ONCOLog to Windows and oversaw the development of several new product lines including the Quality Indicator Module as well as development of ONCONav. Before joining the Onco, Inc. team, Jim worked at a small software company in Northern N.J. as their project manager for all web related applications. As a programmer and avid technology guru, Jim remains intimately involved in all aspects of product development and technical support. His commitment to customer satisfaction and product reliability are the defining principles of ONCO Inc.

Heidi Hendrickson

Co-CEO & President of Sales

Heidi has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance software industry in various roles. She has managed large scale software implementations and provided training, written workflows and audited those workflows for her clients in the insurance industry before coming to work for Onco. Since moving into healthcare and working for Onco she has managed new client implementations and Onco’s support team before moving into sales where she was directly responsible for the significant growth of all three divisions of Onco. She now is Co-CEO of Onco with her husband of 24 years. 

Heidi is passionate about delivering high-quality products and services that meet the needs and expectations of Onco’s client base. 

Ted J. Williamson, MD, PhD, ODS-C

Medical Director and Founder

Dr. Ted Williamson and his wife, Eileen, founded ONCO Inc. in 1983 based on the idea that cancer registry data is a unique and powerful tool in the fight against cancer. Having achieved his B.S. in Engineering Physics and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from The University of Washington he began his career as a graduate school physics professor. An opportunity to participate as a consultant in the development of a new radiation therapy facility led to an appreciation for the cancer fighting power of radiation and his first experience developing a computer-based cancer registry. For nearly two decades, Dr. Williamson served as the President of ONCO Inc. In 2000, a small group of software engineers purchased ONCO, Inc. with the condition that Dr. Williamson stay on as Medical Director of the company. To this day Dr. Williamson is a trusted advisor to the team at ONCO.

Brad Kirby, MPH, ODS-C

COO

Brad joined Onco in March of 2019 from Sentara Healthcare, a 12-hospital health system where he served as their Oncology Service Line Director. During his time there, he was involved in multiple successful Integrated Network Cancer Program (INCP) CoC Accreditations, helped launch their CT Lung Screening program, and managed both a Network-wide Cancer Registry and an Oncology Nurse Navigation team. He previously served on NCRA’s Council on Certification and Job Analysis Task Force and is a former member of the NCRA Informatics Committee. He is responsible for overseeing our day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
